if you feel bored with too many wiis, playstations and DSs, what about trying some of the best videogames from the 80’s!!! Yeah, if you are tired of that GTA, if you’re bored of that perfect graphics, that extremely accurated sound, why don’t remember those times when we all were happy with only 3 colors and some beeps? Now that videogames are so sophisticated is cool to play old games!!!

Everyday, everywhere we see lots of experiments, researches, studies, comparisons, … is a natural behaviour of the human being to be courious, and that’s why we try to know it all all the time…

One of the coolest theories is the one that affirms that every single person of the world is connected to any other by six steps: a person knows a person that knows a person that… and with only six steps we can connect everybody, cool!!! Many people have heard about this (in fact this theory appeared in 1929…) and many of you maybe are participating in the experiment in this facebook application. But in fact it’s all about numbers: an exponential of six degrees can be easily a huge number: think about the number of people you know, or only those who have been close to you (school, uni, work, family, friends…), i guess counting like this you can get a list of at least 100 persons. Now let’s count, if everyone of these relatives knows 100 other persons that gives us… 1 million of millions = 1000 billions (= 1 spanish billion). In short, in six steps we get a net of 1000 billions! But in the world we are “only” about 7 billion persons. In five steps we get only 1 billion, so we could not connect all the people… Like my friend Dimitri loves to say: that’s the point!: The sixth step gives as the key number to theorize about a connected world. It’s only maths, hehe.

So numerically is possible, is cool to think about this, but do you think, for example, that this works for every single person of the world? anyway, is not gonna be easy to find out…

Now that China is on the news more than never before, due to the Beijing Olympic Games, a lot of people is starting to realize that chinese people is quite different from what they have been thinking… in fact, there is a new cool generation of young chinese that don’t read red books anymore…

It’s amazing the extremely fast change of mind that young chinese have done. They didn’t follow the normal timing of other societies to free their minds. A lot of young people have the same habits that europeans or americans have, but we have to keep in mind that, in these other countries the process strarted in the 50-60’s, specialy in the late 60’s, when that part of the world started to change, crossing a point of no return… But in China, they didn’t have that 60’s, they even had no 70’s, no 80’s, and only started to change in the 90’s. So, in only 10-15 years they assumed a 40-50 years period of changes happened in occident. China have also the pressure of their neighbours: Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (the coolest asian countries), who started changing at the same time as occident did (with their own particularities). My generation is different from my parents one, as they are different from my gandparents. But in the chinese case, they last this second generation, making the changes even more radical. If we think in occident that the world changed too fast lately, imagine in China!!!
